Filtration of the water

Filtration of the water refers to removal of undissolved substances from the water solution. In water supply engineering, the most common method is sand filtration. It is used to remove mechanical impurities and turbidity from the treated water, and its efficiency can easily be increased by addition of a coagulant to the flow of the output water.

Currently, fillings of different specifications (grains) are more frequently used in a filtration container in order to increase the sludge capacity of the given filter, leading to a reduction in the quantity of wash water. As the most widespread resource, these filters are used in all areas of water treatment, regardless of whether this concerns the final filtration of drinking water or as pre-treatment for further processes and treatment of industrial water. G-servis Praha offers pressure filters in diverse volume and performance variants.

Water filtration also refers to the flow of water through various filtration materials. For instance, the filtration of water from a well is done using materials that support the removal of iron or manganese (so-called deferrization or demanganization), which are present in most groundwater.
