Reverse osmosis

Osmosis is a natural phenomenon that can be explained as an effort to balance the concentration of fluids separated by a semi-permeable membrane. The force that drives this process can be defined as osmotic pressure, which increases with an increasing difference in the concentrations of substances on both sides of the semi-permeable membrane.

At the moment when we apply a pressure higher than the osmotic pressure on the solution with a higher concentration of dissolved substances, we are capable of reversing the water flow. This is precisely the principle of reverse osmosis. The membrane materials currently used for these purposes are of a high standard and are also used for desalination of seawater.

The experts at G-servis Praha are capable of processing a complete design according to the input materials and building a reverse osmosis station according to the required output, from the smallest application of several hundred l/h to industrial applications where the production units reach several thousand m3/day. Design of the reverse osmosis station consists in the complete calculation of the production and output parameters of the given station, using the software tools of individual global manufacturers of the membranes, up to the solution needed prior to the treatment of the raw water.
